Governments will take advantage of such situations to pass laws that will outlast the events they were apparently implemented for -draconian measures to take control, in most cases to profit or prolong the incumbent government. Misdirection by right wing media, antagonists and conspiracy theorists draw attention away from the obvious.

Social distancing during pandemics isn’t just for you, it’s for those most vulnerable. The failed, hackneyed politicised attempts by many governments has fallen flat on its face, without even providing protective equipment for those most in need. It has taken the camaraderie and cooperation of frontline medical workers and the general public to continue to keep this system functioning, whilst disaster capitalists masquerading as government officials profit endlessly.
